When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I was picturing stunning reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I saw something on the Amadive dive list: **Wreck Diving**. My pulse jumped. This was more than a standard reef dive; this was journey into history.

I have to admit, I felt nervous. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the crew at **Amadive** was incredible. The Divemasters provided a very thorough safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what to expect below. Being in a small group instantly put me at ease comfortable.

Descending was surreal. First, it was just a shadow in the distance, and then the wreck came into view. It is enormous. It's now a thriving artificial reef, get more info draped in corals and swarming with marine life. We saw big groupers hiding from the hull, and lionfish hiding in the superstructure. That feeling of swimming next to this giant, silent structure was hard to describe—eerie, awe-inspiring, and humbling all at once. It's a time capsule under the water.

For any an Open Water diver (or higher) coming to Con Dao and looking for an adventure beyond the usual reef dive, I cannot urge you this **dive** enough.
